Great Songs To Learn The Guitar Online - Entertainment - Music

What are some good songs to learn the guitar online? There are some that I can recommend. It seems very obvious that it is needed for you to start learning guitar with easy songs but sometimes we enjoy a song so bad that we want to start to play it right away, it is not the usual scenario, but it happens.

That being said, the smart thing you have to do is to begin with easy songs, popular songs. If you analize it, a reason why those songs are popular most of the time is because they are easy. If you begin with easy songs, you will not feel frustrated and you will be more comfortable with your Guitar.

A song that I like very much and was one of the first songs I learned is KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR, by Bob Dylan. This song is very easy, you only need to know four chords: G, D, C and A minor or Am (most commonly known). What can be hard here is to go from one chord to the next, meaning that at first, you will not be changing from G to D for example very fast, but with a little practice you will dominate this song probably in less than seven days.

KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR is a good song to practice the rhythm, the movement of your right hand (if youre not left handed of course).

One more song that is very easy to master and fun to play is Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver, It actually has the same chords than the other song we were talking about, it only changes one chord. Instead of Am you will need to play Em. The difficulty level is about the same; the only significant difference is that this song is a little bit faster than Bob Dylans song.

Now, if you are like me and like punk rock music, The Ramones have many songs that are pretty easy to play, like Blitzkrieg Bop, one of my favorites. In fact for this type of songs, you do not even have to know all the chords, you just need to learn the Power Chord.

What is the Power Chord? Well, it is a chord that you can do in every fret getting a different chord. For example, to get the G note, you put your index finger on the sixth string on the third fret, your ring finger on the fifth string on the fifth fret and your pinky finger in the fourth string on the fifth fret, under your ring finger.

Once you master the Power Chord, you can learn a lot of punk rock songs from bands such as Green Day, The Ramones, Blink 182, The Offspring You get the Idea.

To practice the Chords, Here is a small list of songs that you can learn:

1. Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver2. Free Falling by Tom Petty3. Yellow by Coldplay4. Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson5. Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynard6. Clocks by Coldplay7. Teardrops On My Guitar by Taylor Swift8. Lost by Coldplay.9. Realize by Colbie Caillat10. Youre Beautiful by James Blunt

Remember, the key to play guitar is practice, so practice, practice and then practice some more. Learn one song first, and then move on to the next one. Good luck and Ill see you on stage.
